Antique French Wax Mannequin by Pierre Imans (1910–1920)

A true relic of Parisian elegance, this full-size antique wax mannequin was crafted by the celebrated Pierre Imans around 1910–1920. Once a centerpiece in the grand displays of French department stores ("magasins"), she was designed to showcase the latest in fashion, hats, and jewelry, bringing a lifelike presence to luxurious shop windows.

Over time, many of these delicate wax figures have disappeared, making survivors like her incredibly rare. She remains completely original, with no modifications—a true collector’s treasure. Her implanted human hair, striking blue glass eyes, and softly angled upward gaze give her an almost hauntingly beautiful expression. Her bust is sculpted from wax, while her fabric and papier-mâché body provides a lightweight yet sturdy structure. Her arms, crafted from a composite material, add to her durability, and her slightly adjustable upper body allows for gentle posing.

She transforms effortlessly with different outfits, though she looks particularly enchanting in 1920s flapper attire. Whether dressed in period clothing or left to stand as she is, she carries with her a silent grace and timeless allure, a true testament to the artistry of Pierre Imans and the golden age of wax mannequins.
